Growing up, I ran competitive track and field. My whole life I never cared as much about winning the race but I always wanted to keep a better pace, beat my personal best time, and release endorphins doing what I loved. These days, I’ve come to realize the races I enjoy running the most are the ones where I get to be running by someone else’s side where:
I get to root you on!
I get to help you know when to pick up your pace!
I get to remind you to never look back because turning around too much can slow you down in running your own race!

I specialize in helping those that often forget to help themselves. I love working with folks in transition, dealing with change, or craving something new. I pride myself on being a rooted anchor for those that work in the arts, a breath of fresh air for those that sustain culture on their shoulders, and safe escape for those who stay in lanes to entertain.
If you’ve never considered or been hesitant about working one-on-one with a career coach before, let me assure you, I’m not your typical career coaching cup o’ tea. (And if you’d rather get a second or a third or a few more opinions, just click here and scroll down.) To be honest, I’m mainly here to flip the script on what career coaching and curating can really be. Here’s a taste of how I like to dig deeper into building with you. Try answering these questions for yourself to get your conversation started within first:
Have you gotten advice before but it all just felt like a big conflicting wash of ideas?
Are you at a crossroads in your creative pursuits?
Are you just starting out in the workforce but feeling lost in the shuffle?
Have you been working but feel more familiar with being stuck in a rut over being able to identify a meaningful purpose in your work?
Are you interested in understanding where your personal development can complement your professional development?
Well, if you said yes to any of the above, trust me, you sound exactly like the type of person I’m meant to meet! Click here so we can get you to a new beginning!
Creation. Creativity. The act of creating. I’ve always been fascinated by how things come into being and as long as I can remember I’ve wanted to be a part of the process. The kind of creator I am is someone who looks at the end result of something and wonders how it was made or leap ahead to explain how things might end. And if I can’t figure out either of those things, I tend to dive in and make it myself. Because of this yearning to make, I love to mold things too like new memories or magic that I can’t quite fathom yet. This is where you come in. Sometimes I create alone but I’ve found that creating with others makes my making that much more memorable and magical! Let’s create! Click here.
What led me to modeling was a rediscovery of my mental, emotional, and physical self. The self that I somehow knew I was meant to meet. Internalizing negative (and those disguised as positive) voices kept me from my potential but after good inspiration smacks you in the face enough times, you’re bound to start listening! So I did! And eventually that turned into motivation then finally action! As an actor, I tend to get cast in comedic roles (which I love!) but modeling gives me permission to use my full range of characters and movement qualities. It allows my mind, body, and soul to dance and as it happens I move into a kind of trance, one that I hope to invite others in on experiencing when they see my shapes turned into images.

Here’s a poem I wrote that might explain this better…
I come from the ground up
From charcoal and wood making the fire of me
My personality - A contusion of confusion bubbling up curiosity
Finding the art in the blood strewn across my front door
I use creation as a means for my inspiration to be more
what the statistics define me as within my generation I break free
Close my eyes and fly with no hesitation - that's me
Afro moving left to the right right to the left
To and fro I go with the flow
Keeping my morals intact with those I interact
Cuz mama didn't raise no foo
She woke me up in the mornin
And got me off to skoo
I come from love and hugs
Trapped beneath a world of weed and drugs
The gun goes off and I run
Gotta beat that time Gotta get what's mines
I come from running for fun and running to survive
I live to learn and I learn to thrive
Ain't got no choice but to make the most of my time alive
I come from not supposed to be but chosen to exist
I come from mama takin a risk
Laughter and smiles for a mile but I’m reachin for that prize at the finish line
I come from seizing opportunity
I come from hardship and heartache finding the light behind that crack in my slate
It's E - lean - a
I come from embracing my namesake
Am I a figment of representation?
An example of blaxploitation
36 - 24 – 36 It ain't me
I come from being teased for being too skinny
I come from guuuuuurrrrllllll you gotta put some meat on dem bones
I come from my OWN security
I know I'm my own "brick hoooouuuuse"
A broke down mouse
Squirming in my seat
I come from rising from the ashes like a Phoenix in heat
I come from the song in the wind
The dance in trees
I come from finding comfort in the breeze
In being ok with just being me
That girl from round the block over at Conaty
Walking through the Hannon doors to take on my destiny
While knowing South Central LA shaped my identity
Lying back in the concrete jungle taking my own rainbows in
I come from the ground up
I come from the ground UP!
If you’ve made it all the way down to the end of this poem you already know more about me that most so I’m taking this as a sign you like to dig deep too. How about we try digging deeper and cultivating some creativity together? Click here to say YES!
Sometimes… I might even care too much. It’s something I’m working on. We’ve all got our things. Right? Well, in full transparency, I care because I invest myself into you. Whether it’s my time, my resources, or my energy, I see every person that I get the chance to meet as someone I get to care about. Having others to care about is like a gift to me. I was an only child so, of course, I always wanted sisters and brothers but not having them, I think, has actually allowed me to make deeper connections because I value each individual one as a special present for my heart.

Growing up and into adulthood, I always made friends with authority figures. Whether they were my teachers, my coaches, my directors, or my bosses. Building camaraderie and authentic relationships without caring about age or hierarchy just came naturally to me. Deep down, respect was something I knew I deserved just as much as they did. Because of the comfort level I tended to have with these folks, I never really ever felt intimidated when disagreements may have arisen. This mindset has allowed me to hold strong in challenging others to push beyond their fields of thought into new territory. It has allowed me to practice standing my ground and presenting my point of view towards inspiring others to shift their understandings towards opening and changing their minds. If we work together, I hope to challenge you and I hope you respect me enough to challenge me too because growth doesn’t happen without change.

I love bearing witness to what makes people special and figuring out new ways of making the best parts of them shine! Collaborative environments are where I thrive the most because they are where I get to learn, make room for others, and be a part of developing unity for folks under shared goals. And the best part about it all is that I get to merge my sense of focus with my sense of fun!
If you want to get a gist of the kinds of folks I’ve gotten to collaborate with, peep this!
Listening > Absorbing > Deliberating.
Building > Assessing > Strategizing.
Enacting > Reassessing > Delivering.
Maximizing > Refining > Empowering.
This is my order of operations when I am invited into your world. One of the things I value most is trust. In my collaborative relationships I commit to trust. I do this because I truly believe that a foundation build on trust is one where we can be honest with one another. It is a groundwork that allows us hold each other accountable. And trust even can allow us breath in moments that might be challenging because we’ll be able to already know that we can get through them together.

With every step forward we make together, I celebrate progress! I’m not about waiting until the “big wins.” It’s the combination of all the effort, work, and energy put in to making that big thing happen that is just as worthy of celebration! Whether that’s a happy dance, a high five, or a hug, I got you!
